Which stores do I need?

We HIGHLY recommend using the LTS Wooden Stores first sold during the Blood Money campaign. Previous wooden stores and cardboard stores are slightly shorter in length and will allow other parts of the insert to move around, but will fit in the box.

Is this EU friendly and Do I Need to Pay VAT?

For EU backers we’ll ship from France or the UK depending on your location, so it is EU friendly. VAT is not included in the price. EU backers will need to pay VAT which will be collected through the pledge manager

What is the size of the box?

304.8x396x165mm This size is subject to change if our production team needs to make changes for the mass production.

How can I pledge?

You can become a backer in just three easy steps: Step 1: Read through the pledge levels and rewards we’re offering in the right sidebar of this page. Step 2: Click the large, green “BACK THIS PROJECT” button to the right of the trailer video at the top of this page. Step 3: Enter your pledge amount, and complete the steps for filling in your information. This process takes just a few seconds! That’s it! It’s really that simple! Thank you for backing!

Soon after the campaign ends, you’ll be give access to our CrowdOx Pledge Manager. The Pledge manager is a website that gives you the opportunity to manage your contribution. You will be able to: choose the language of your game, either the French or the English version, confirm your shipping details (delivery address and phone number) and find out the shipping cost. For the delivery, we will only use the information you provided in your Pledge Manager, NOT the information from your Kickstarter account!

You will be able to choose to receive your game in English or French in the Pledge Manager.

Will there be a solo mode?

We do not have any plans to add an official solo mode to Western Legends. Fans of Kolossal will know that we have added solo modes to a lot of games where a solo mode seemed impossible, most notably All Manor of Evil and Mezo. When we add a solo variant to any of our games, the number 1 thing that we look for is capturing the multiplayer version’s spirit and feel. Sometimes this can lead to dramatically different versions of the game, but in the end, the feeling of playing is the same. We have been asked about a solo mode for Western Legends since the game first came to Kickstarter all the way back in 2018, and our answer then is the same as it is now. Western Legends without player interaction is not Western Legends. It isn’t just that other players are making decisions but that the other players are reacting to your choices, and you are reacting to theirs. The game thrives on that interaction. Even the most complex cardboard AI could not achieve anything close to an actual player when it comes to player interaction. And it is because of that, Western Legends does not have a solo mode.

Can I buy just the box separate?

No, the box and insert were designed to go together. Without the insert you’d have an extremely large box and the contents would get thrown around and likely damaged.

Will the playmat fit in the box?

No. We looked into this but the size of the box would’ve been far larger and wouldn’t have fit on most shelves. We thought it better to keep the playmat out of the box for ease of use. We recommend using a tube or other storage device.

What are the card sizes?

WL has 3 different card sizes Poker- 63.5x88.9mm (Poker, Characters, Story, Titles, MiB, Bandit, and Sheriff cards) Mini- 44.45x63.5mm (Items, fight, Events, Train, and Injury cards) Tarot- 70x120mm (Legendary Story cards)

Will the 3D buildings be unpainted?

Yes. That was only for the first wave which we are sold out of.

Will there be new player boards?

Not as part of this campaign. It is possible for the future but would require time for our graphic designer and production team to finalize.

Yes. We now use a partner located in the UK to deliver UK orders. This helps avoid additional fees on your end.

Unfortunately, this ongoing situation is a bit unpredictable. We’ve also take into account the current situation in each country and planned extra time for delays. However, it may be that the measures taken by your government, for your well-being and that of your loved ones, will delay delivery.

Rising shipping costs are affecting us all. Unfortunately, areas outside of our hubs have seen a dramatic increase this year. We’ve subsidized costs to these areas as much as we can and are always looking for more shipping options.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
